Hey everyone,

I decided to add to the blog. About a week ago Duke was separated from us and ended up getting hit by a car. He was found by neighbors about a half-mile from our house. I didn't realize how much it would affect the kids. They cried for three days. I thought I was the only one involved with him. I did some looking and found a pup that was about 12 weeks old. I went to Provo and picked him up. The kids have been really involved with him all day. Duke was a year old when we found him. He was really only my dog. Anyway, it has been an adventursome day.

The kids are back in school and all seem to enjoy their teachers and classes. Robyn has found a little sanity. She is very involved with getting the carpool set up. She stays quite busy with Bubba asking 50,000 questions per day. I know it is at least this many because he rode to Provo with me. We are still liking Utah. It is hard to believe it has been a year since we moved. I have to say it has been a difficult year with work. I had no idea how big of a difference it would be going from retail to hospital. I have learned a lot and continue to learn all the time. My garden hasn't produced much, and it will start to freeze in a few weeks. My tomatoes are so small, but at least they are turning red. Better luck next year. I finished the concrete on my basketball hoop and the kids each wrote their name in the concrete. Bubba and Wynter left their footprints and Robyn wrote their names below them. We love living in the mountains. I hope that we get the same amount of snow or Robyn is going to shoot me because the four-wheeler I purchase a few weeks ago magically came with a plow and a winch. It was magic. So, I better use them or I will get shot. The kids have wanted to go on four-wheeler rides everyday. We had to take a vacation from it because that is how Duke got lost. I blamed it on that I had to work all the time, but I really didn't want to go. I would start the four-wheeler and DUke would just about jump over his kennel. He like to run along with us on our adventures. Everyone is healthy and hates going to bed early on school nights except me. I always like to go to bed early. The kids are excited to play with the new puppy. I hope everyone is doing well.

Love,

Something a little different....

Hi everyone I just thought I would show you a little of what I have been up to. I have told some of you about some of the cool websites that are all about D.I.Y. (do it yourself) and recon use of clothing. There was one idea where you take a men's button down shirt, and turn it into a girls dress. I bought a super cheap shirt and set to work. I finished it today, and I am quite excited with how it turned out. The original can be found at http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=170402.0 . It was really fun and not hard.
lso many of you have been concerned about Oz and how he is doing out here in the bermuda triangle. After the intital squirmish that he was mysteriously involved in, he sticks right around home now and is some sort of surrogate mother/heating blanket for the three kitties that Steph brought out when she brought Oz. All four are alive and well, apparently this was the super "special" batch. The old man dog and the 3 unwanted kitties! But they are fun and we enjoy them so much! Jakoby is getting used to Oz and will give him a milk-bone. Instead of throwing it down on the ground, she will now let Oz take it right out of her hand.
Our phone line is almost in, they trenched up to the house today, so it should be anyday now.
Anyway, things are going well, and I am loving the D.I.Y. Oh another fun website with lots of ideas is http://www.threadbanger.com/ they are a little crazy, but have lots of ideas.
Love to all!
