Tis December

Well we only have a few more days in Rexburg! Then we are going home for good!! The end of November Damon's brother who is a doctor up here, did and ultrasound and we got to see how the baby was doing.  We also found out that we are going to have a little baby girl!!  She was kicking and moving all over the place.  She looks healthy and is growing at the rate she needs to so everything looks good there!  I was able to feel her for the first time on December 4th and then just every once in a while nothing consistent yet.  Next week I will be 20 weeks and officially done with half of this pregnancy.  Thank goodness I have been feeling quite a bit better.  In other news we are buying a house in Paul!! We close in the beginning of January so we will just be staying at Damon's parents house with all of our stuff until we can move in. Well I hope everyone is staying warm and getting ready to have a wonderful holiday season!!! Good luck with getting ready to move Tyson and Carrie!!!

HUNTING OCTOBER 9th -17th 2012

October 9th - 17th 2012 Hunting in Malad, Idaho
 October 10th 2012 Day 1
Beautiful overcast morning with very little wind.
This is Elk Mountain looking East North East or so.
We had heard several shots just as it started to get light. Most were on the other side of the highway (West).
Zach was uneasy as Randy and Rick started heading off the beaten path.
It was a great adventure though. Even if I did need help traversing my 4 Wheeler down a steep trail that was barley big enough to walk on. I was scared too, but no time to panic. Dad knew what he was doing.
This was about 100 or so yards from where Zach and Dad shot there dear. Randy got his 3 x 3 and Zach got a real nice Doe.......Bu  I forgot to take a picture of until it was bound to the 4 Wheeler....... Really nice glamorous shot.

Zach is learning how to glass for dear.
One shot and she was toast. One shot one kill.
Zach practiced shooting for several days before we went hunting. I made him get about 80 practice shots in before we went live. I think it helped build his shot confidence.
Nice 3 x 3 with a big body. Uncle Rick shot at this dear while it was up on the top side, which scared it ove to us. Randy got the shot of. I was a preoccupied and unable to shoot, or I would have got him...... Maybe.
This is Zach with my dear. I felt bad that I didnt take a picture of him with his dear so I took this one, but in the process forgot to take my own picture with my own dear...... Oh well.
We spent the next several days chasing Uncle Ricks huge Mule dear buck. It just about ran Randy over one day, and Rick another day. I never did see it close enough to see horns, but we know it was big. This is one of his hiding places where he could see anyone coming from hundreds of yards away in any direction.
A reward of the outdoors is the scene around you, just as some of the elements are the punishments.
There were so many Box Elder bugs that you could have used a scoop shovel and a broom and filled a garbage can in the mornings
As it warmed up in the daytime these nasty little repulsive critters would come to life from what seemed a pile of dead bugs. I kept thinking of rise of the living dead, which made it even more disgusting to me.
This is not a very good picture, but you get the idea of how it works.
Cool at night they fall down and go boom. Warms up they pop up and say "HELLO"
These last few pictures are of the barn where I hung my dear. I wish I had taken more pictures of the cabin and the grounds around it, because this place is awesome.
Drafty old barn with a dirt floor and really old hardware.... Hinges some of which you will see in the next 3 photos. I just should have taken a few of the other stuff.
Same building just a wider view. That building to the right is where Randy and Zach have there dear hanging.
Now this is the kind of stuff I think is really cool. Yet, others probably jus walk past and give it no second thought.
This hinge was obviously made by a master blacksmith from way back when. I dont ever remember walking into Ace Hardware and asking for one of these. Because I would have asked for all of them. Just cool stuff like this all over the place.
A better angle to see how it is fastened to the gate. Again, I wish I had taken more pictures of this stuff because it is very cool stuff and interesting to me to see how well they made the things they needed.
OK. Now this is just a sign we saw at the restaurant in Malad that we ate at. I laughed................................... I say no more.

I hope you enjoy these photos, Zachary, Dad, Uncle Rich and I had fun and look forward to next year hunting there..... Hopefully.

Think Cinnamon Bear

Hey everyone! Hope everything is going well!!  We just wanted to share our big news that we are going to have a BABY!!! Right now our baby is about the size of a cinnamon bear.  Tomorrow I will be 12 weeks.  I went to see the doctor last Monday and we were able to listen to our little one's heart beat.  It was so exciting!!!  I do get sick lots of the time but Damon is so awesome and he does anything to make me comfortable and tries to make me feel better!  He takes such good care of me!  We will be able to find out if it is a boy or girl sometime in early December so that is really exciting and we are really looking forward to that.  Our baby is due on May 8, 2013.  Another little fun fact, our friends Tory and Justin, they got married 3 days before us are also having a baby, their little one is due May 31, so it is fun to go through the same things as our closest friends!  For an update on other things Damon will be done with school in December and then we will be moving back to Paul and looking to buy a house.  We are selling our trailer here in Rexburg and have already had one offer and some more interest.  And we have been helping to take care of the Pumpkin Patch in Paul which has been quite an experience this summer and fall.  We also have been bringing pumpkins and squash to sell here in Rexburg!  So everything is busy and exciting!! Love you all!!

Just Kala

This is what I do at work all day... Not really. haha My new job at Randy Hansen is going well. I am finally caught up to where the previous receptionist left off and things are lagging a bit. I finish my tasks before I'm even halfway through with my work time and then I sit there and try not to die of boredom for the other 2 hours. I know what you're thinking, ask them if there's anything else you can do! The problem with that is that I dont WANT more to do! haha School is coming along well. I am really really enjoying all my classes except for english and that is mostly because I hate the teacher. I go back and forth on loving and hating spanish because I'm having such a hard time with it. I thought I was such a smartypants and moved into spanish 102 because the first days of 101 were painfully simple and it was simply AWFUL trying to listen to all the stupid people completely butcher the pronunciation. Thinking back on it I really should have stuck it out and really solidified my base because I'm trying to build on a shaky one and its not working out so well for me. haha I am taking psychology and I always thought it would be interesting, but I never knew I would love it so much! It is so interesting for me and I have an AMAZING professor! Guitar is going awesome... I think. haha I am learning and it is coming to me so much faster than piano ever did but probably only because I have the piano background. :) Volleyball is SO much fun. :) and I have been going to church! I went to the wrong ward last week and there were no cute boys... bummmerrrr. haha I am not so frustrated with my roommates lately. They are keeping pretty clean. Anyway, I thought I'd let you all know how I am doing!
P.S.my guinea pig is still alive and just as loud as ever!
and I cant wait to see you all soon!!!

It's time for the yearly bath.

Well Tomorrow is my last day at PetSmart! Believe it or not, I'm really sad! I have some really great coworkers and I'm going to be genuinely sad if I do not see them again!!! I could care less about seeing my boss ever again. I'm tired of having to look around to make sure no one saw me yawn. School starts on monday and I'm really not looking forward to it. I dont even have my books yet, and they're going to cost me a fortune! Welcome to college, I know, I know. I have math, english, psychology, and spanish, and then I'm taking guitar lessons for a credit and I'm also taking volley ball!! My snake died cause it was sick and I am not going to get a new one just yet because one of my roommates really freaked out about it. How is everyone else doing?

I had been out tubing (boating) with the Jones family the day before announcement pictures and got a really bad sun burn, they had to touch up some of the pictures because I was so red. So  this is the airbrushed version of me.
They left a little more color in my face on this one...... Shanna was sooo mad at me

Look at everyone, seems so long ago. Side note; it was Mandy's 16 th Birthday.
Randy was 43, and Sandy was 40 I think.
My Dad looked awesome with his mustache, he always grew them for the weddings of his kids. Shanna asked him to grow it out so as to not break tradition.

Happy Birthday Grandma
