The strange state of California.

Tyson wanted this posted on the blog, he'll have to comment on it! California must be a strange place! Wes wants one of those in his toolbox at work!

Prayers

Okay guys, my family needs your prayers! My first cousin Nicolina gave birth to her second child the day after her first child had cancer surgery and they told us the baby was born without a rectum. After a specialty doctor was brought in and poked around a lot he found it and we thought he was gonna be okay but today they told us that he has testicular cancer. So needless to say we are going through a rough time right now. His name is Christopher Johnston. Please remember him in your prayers. Thanks!

Dance Pictures So here is the deal, I went to get Sakoya from dance today and we got the envelope for dance pictures which are to take place next week. I do not find myself to be a cheap person but sometimes I feel like people are out to gouge the money out of you. The photographer, whom I know personally, thinks that $14 dollars for a group 5x7 is a reasonable price. I have always bought my kids dance pictures because I still love going to my mom's to look at my dance pictures but there is no way I can pay for anything more that just the group picture. I am going to take my camera and take pictures of my kids individually so that we can have the memory but I think his price is OUT OF CONTROL. Okay package 1 costs $30 for 1 8x10 individual 2 5x7 individuals 8 wallets and a group photo. Is this and deal or an I just to tight. I don't know but I would appreciate someone's feed back.

ice fishing

We love to go ice fishing. Kobe thinks fishing is great, she love to hold the pole, and try to talk to the fish. Darby likes being outside on slick ice. the fishing is just a bonous for her. And even though we have yet to catch a fish this year we still love to go drill holes in the ice and put all kinds of fish bait down into the water, we think that eventually one fish will want to give its life for us, but if that doesn't happen we will still try because we love to time together.

Derringer Just thought I would share some Derringerisms.""Mom, where does water come from?" Me: Knowing that was an in depth question said,"I don't know." Derringer, "Water comes from giraffe's and milk comes from cow." I reply "Okay." What else an I supposed to say to that. Derringer loves string cheese and we were out and I hadn't been to the store in quite some time but when I went I finally bought some. He had stayed home and didn't know this so when I was unpacking the groceries I told him I had bought some string cheese. His reply "FOR REAL." Sometimes (no most of the time) he amazes me. My final funny was just the other day I was downstairs getting ready for scouts and Jeramy came down and told me Derringer had been spraying hairspray all over upstairs. When I went up I didn't see where he had done it and figured Jeramy must of cleaned it up. Not so the case I found a thick layer of hairspray on the kid bathroom counter and cleaned it up. When I asked Bubba if he had sprayed hairspray all over the bathroom he replied, "A Big Monster did it." I then said "A Monster?" and he said, " No mom I think it was a ghosty ghosty!" Well if nothing else he is good for a few laughs.

Blog

I hope it doesn't bother anyone that I change the blog template but I love the different holidays and different pages! Just let me know if it does and I will stop. Well actually I probably won't so I'm apologizing in advance!!!!! Wes, please don't take my administrative privileges away!!!! lololol

Our Weekend in the Alps

This weekend was a three day so I went down to Garmisch to visit Josh. I was so excited to see him you would have thought I hadn't seen him in months. He must have been missing me too cause I told him that if he wanted he could get the hotel for Sat and Sun night and I would just come down early Sat morning and stay till Monday evening and that way we only had to pay for two nights instead of three. So you can imagine my surprise when he told me a few days later that he got the hotel for all three nights! Since Josh's order's say he has to ski once a week, what a tough job, we went Saturday. This was my second day skiing! I did really good. I didn't fall as much and I was making the turns, I was ready to toot my own horn THEN Josh tells me the only way off the mountain was to ride the lift back down or ski off a harder hill and there was no way in H@!! that we were riding the lift down so really our only option was skiing down the straight down hill of ICE!!! Needless to say by the time we got to the bottom I wanted to kill him! I told him I had no business on that mountain and I was never skiing with him again!!! Yes we almost had our first fight!!!!!!! lolololol Anyway, I made it down alive and after a long nap and a hot shower I wasn't mad anymore. Sunday we went for a hike in the Alps to this beautiful canyon. The water was so blue and clear. The ice sickles were amazing! Then that night we went to a Bavarian restaurant with Bavarian dancing. It was cool. They had like 10 year old boys slap dancing while we ate. I really don't like German food but it was still fun.

Build a Bear for Sakoya, Saige, Denali and Derringer

So here's the deal, for Christmas the four oldest got a card saying it was good for on trip to Build a Bear from Mom and Dad. My kids have been wanting to build their own forever. Last year we went and got Winter Bear for Wynter even before she was born. Then we went again and got one for Cambree when she was in Nutcracker but they have never got one for themselves. Well, ever since we got back to Utah after Christmas they have been wanting to go build their own. Well on Friday the 16th the kids didn't have school so we made a trip to The Gateway to Build a Bear. Needless to say they had a great time. This is when they had all picked out their unstuffed animals. Here they are getting ready to put in the hearts after making wishes and warming them up first. Here they are after getting every thing done and they are in their cub condos. Once we got home Wynter's Wynter Bear, Saige's Addi Cinnamon the Bunny, Derringer's Maxy the Monkey, Sakoya's Pacey the Panda, and Denali's Savannah the Scruffy Puppy.
It was so much fun for them, Bubba has had his eye on the monkey forever and just "loves it so much," he hugged it all the way back from SLC and patted it's back. Denali couldn't find the right outfit or animal, she was the indecisive one but finally settled on Scruffy Puppy. Saige fell in love with her bunny and it is so soft and cuddly and dressed with layer after layer. Sakoya had already decided on the Panda and found a darling outfit that says dance which was just perfect for her.
If you want to see more pictures, I started my own blog it is called 4chicksand1dude.blogspot.com
Anyway, thinking and missing you all. Have a great day.

Tyson just called & Carrie is doing better. He said the Dr. is calling her condition "aseptic meningitis" caused by the Ibuprofen they had her on. She also has a bladder infection and the headache caused by the spinal tap. She will stay in the hospital to see if the headache goes away--if not they will do the patch thing that helps that, which is painful. Carrie's mom is now there helping with the kids. Tyson & the boys have colds so they are trying to keep Taylee from getting a cold. Let's continue to keep them in our prayers. Love, Mom

Hey everybody---Tyson & Carrie need our prayers. Carrie was running a fever, and her neck pain was worse, Tyson called her Dr. and she said to take her to the ER. That was Mon., they have run tests for meningitis, did an MRI to check for an abcess, did a spinal tap & have taken blood for cultures. Tyson had to leave her there to go take care of the kids. He is emotionally drained. He called after the MRI and they ruled out an abcess so they won't need to do surgery which is a huge relief. She will be in the hospital at least until tomorrow. They're not sure what she has and it might be an after affect of the toxemia. He didn't call to tell me because he said there was nothing I could do so I just found out today. Nobles are on their way there. I figured the blog would be the fastest way to tell everyone so call me if you have questions but I can honestly tell you I probably won't have any answers. We just need to remember them in our prayers. I will post when I find out anything new. Love, Mom

Okey dokey folks! There is a new calendar link on the right hand side of the blog. Wes spent some time and got together everyone's birthdays and anniversaries. The anniversaries start with the @ sign. Depending on the size of computer screen you are looking at, it can cut part of the name or year off; but if you click on that name, it will show that info in a bubble. If there are any dates that are off, or anything that is mispelled, or anybody that we missed, which I doubt there are cause we are dang near perfect here, don't hesitate to let me know and Wes will get in there and fix it! Or, if anyone wants anything else added, such as vacations, or anything else that people want to know about, let us know! I think this will be handy and kind of fun. Oh yeah, and since you guys aren't doing anything else in California - haha jk - you should post pictures! I'll try and be patient, but - as usual - have difficulty with that! (that's assuming Carrie made it home today.)

Somebodys gotta do it!!

SO here i was on a hard training day gettin paid and my lift ticket paid for but here some picks from the Alps. I must admit though that the license plates are so far correct. Utah does have the greatest snow on earth!!!!

Baby girl Jones has a name

Tyson and Carrie named the baby Taylee Lynn. (What a cute name!) She was 19 and 3/4 in. long. Carrie is doing some better but still hasn't been able to get up. She had pre-clampsia and Tyson tried to explain to me how it has all come to pass so this may not be the right way to describe it but from what Tyson was saying it advanced (here he used initials) and became a worse degree. Consequently, they plan on Carrie staying in the hospital until Sunday and continue to watch her. Taylee has some jaundice so the hospital personel are watching over her for that. Let's all remember them in our prayers! Love you all, MOM

Trey's big birthday present

Hey everyone!! Guess what Trey got for his birthday??? He got a new baby sister! Isn't that awesome?! Tyson was on his way to the hospital with the boys when I talked to him so I don't have many particulars, but baby girl Jones weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and is healthy and was eating shortly after her birth. Carrie was very sick last night and knew things weren't the way they should be. Tyson gave her a blessing, found someone to stay with the boys and took her to the hospital. They started her and the baby was born around 11:00 something this morning. I asked Tyson to put pictures on the blog and he said Carrie would when she got home. They have her on magnesium for toxemia, she will be on that till noon tomorrow, then they will keep her another 24 hours to watch her. Take care Tyson & Carrie---we love you!! PS--we get to send pink things!!

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Trey!!!!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful day! I thought being away from my family for my birthday would be hard especially since Josh is gone, but I had a really good day! It started off rough because one of the girls I work with got news yesterday that her mom is in the hospital with her brain bleeding. I watched her as she went on with her day keeping busy and working hard. It reminded me of myself when dad got sick. I asked her if her mom was awake and talking and she told me yes and she was wondering if she should go home and I told her yes cause I didn't get to say goodbye to my dad and it was really hard. I hope her mom isn't in the same situation as my dad and she gets better. Talking her made tears come to my eyes and I had to leave the room cause I knew I was going to start bawling and I didn't want to get her upset. Well, I did and we cried for a few minutes and did what we do and got back to work. After I brought the kids back from lunch the girls I work with were in the kitchen and threw me a surprise lunch. It was so nice, and I still don't know how the pulled it off without me finding out! They gave me a beautiful card, a yummy smelling candle, and a gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure! I was so excited! Then at 2:00 right before we sent the little darlings home to their parents we had cake! The class sung me happy birthday! I love the kids in our class and all the people I work with!

Happy Birthdays!!!

WOO-HOO!!! We have some birthday people in our family today!!! I want to wish Trey and Natalie a great big Happy Birthday!! Hope you both have a wonderful day!! Trey is a whopping 7 years old today! Just one year before you get baptized--that is so exciting! Are you going to get a baby sister for your birthday, Trey? Last night, Mandy and I went out to watch Mikala perform at half time at the BB game. I have to say you are one high flyer Mikala! Great performance!! You make everything look so easy. And there were a couple of cute helpers setting up and taking down the equipment that I thought were the best of all--- way to go Steph and Megan! Have a great day everyone and especially our birthday people! I love you all! MOM

Big Girls

Happy new year! We are doing well and enjoying all of our snow. In town the snow is all melting and out here, we have yet to see any dirt!
The girls are growing everyday it seems. During bath time I put conditioner in Darby's hair and Jakoby wanted a hat too. I thought it was funny and too cute! (Hope this doesn't offend anyone!) Darby cannot wait for school to start again, the Christmas break has been really hard on her, she loves school! She is doing so good and loves to learn and tell us all about her days.
Jakoby is so big! She is talking all of the time, and other people are starting to understand her, I don't have to interpret everything. She loves Dora, and wants to do everything Darby does. She doesn't like bugs, but has no problem picking them up and getting rid of them.
Az is doing good, we really love having him around. We recently brought home a dog that was dropped off at my in laws house. She is a mixed breed (mutt) and she is just a puppy. She has lots of energy, she loves to play with the snow, and she keeps Az running around. Her name is Nelly. We are still working out all of the kinks with a puppy that just wants some attention. She did attack one of my small trees and snapped all of the branches off. I wasn't impressed. Anyway, things are going well. Callin and I haven't gone to afternoon church in the 3 years that we have been married, and tomorrow we have afternoon church. We will adjust, just in time to switch back, I'm sure. Take care!
Kristen

Josh, I listened to my voice mail and it was you. Sorry I missed your call. I have a heck of a time keeping track of my dumb phone. Robyn, on the other hand, cannot leave anywhere without hers. I jumped online and went to the whitepages.com and pulled up this number. Tarrell O. Jones 262 North 100th W. Malad, ID 83252 208-766-2235 I called dad and we concluded that this was the right and only Tarrell Jones. I hope this works for you. Dad says you are headed out tomorrow. Poor Natalie, what is she going to do while you are gone? Good luck, and we will blog later. Jeramy
