So this is what Josh does all day - it looks like he has become a very destructive individual. It does look and sound like maybe he enjoys what he is doing. It is pretty cool! Enjoy!

A house of our own!

Hey just wanted to let everyone know what is up with our house. Our foundation walls will be poured on Tuesday this week, and the house will be here on the 26th. One week from tomorrow!! Things are coming together and it is very exciting to us! We even know how many yards of carpet and vinyl flooring we will need. Jakoby will be one on Saturday, and we will let everyone know about those plans. Talk to you all later!
Kristen
PS This is the guys setting our power pole out at the house. They say that the wise man built his house upon the rock, and our house is definately on a rock. They had to bring out the rock drill to set both poles. This was just something fun for us!

Thanks, Carrie, for the cute pictures of the boys dressed up for Halloween! It was great to see them all dressed up to go trick or treating.I sent you an e-mail to tell you who the boys drew for Christmas but my e-mail said it wasn't delivered. So here's who they got---Trey got Darby, Trent got Ryan, and Tru got Jakoby. Mandy, if you read the blog here is who your children drew----Maryssa got Denali, Mason got Mikala and Morgan got Sakoya. Now if we are keeping all this a secret I suggest that you big kids who do the blog not read this!! HA-HA A big congrats to Mikala!!!! I am so glad you got to perform today!!! Your mom called and told me and I was so excited for you and very glad to know you were having a better day than you expected to have!! Megan, President Hinckley agrees with me about the later dating age!! He says to enjoy this age in your life because it passes much too fast!! He can't believe he is 97!! Love you all!!! G. Jones

Halloween

Halloween has come and gone.  We celebrated by going to Trey's school party then trick or treating that night.  Trey was a vampire, Trent was a cowboy, and Tru was a puppy.  Tru caught on really quick and wanted in on all the treats that the were handing out.  They had a lot of fun.  We hope every one had a great Halloween.

I hope ya all like my Halloween costume!! You know that black widows eat their mates-----I guess grandpa won't need to worry about a costume! I am glad to hear that it is a ways off until Megan turns 16, but she should know that Pres. Hinkley has changed the dating age to 18 now so add two more years to that count down!! So sorry Megan! She also knows that all boys have to pass grandmas' inspection first! I am so excited about my newly changed bathroom. (It is really my bathroom but it's not the one we all call my bathroom, it is the one called Josh's bathroom and he told me he wants his name on the door so it is always referred to as his bathroom!) Mandy and James do great laying tile floors. They have sure done a lot of them now! Love you all!! Grandma Jones

Bowlarama

Thanks for everybody coming out to Darby's birthday party. It was so much fun! Darby is still talking about it! Thanks for all of your support and time! We did buy our house and we are getting ready to set it all up and Callin has been doing a lot of work out there in the dirt. That really is him covered in dirt! Darby likes to pretend to be a pirate with whatever she can find at home. The burp cloth was her eye patch and the piece of wood was her sword. Pretty funny!
PS Who has the countdown until Megan can date? Lock her up and throw away the key! Megan is too cute and too sweet! Love ya Meg!

Howdy All ya'll! How's it going? After Madison's birthday party Mikala turned on some of her cheer music and EVERYONE, almost everyone started to bust-a-move! It was really fun to watch. We had a really good time. Anyway -Just a little note to let people know, we are going to baptize Madison - on September 29, at 4:00. We will also confirm her and plan on having a dinner after. I am really enjoying my job! It is really kind of fun. I start school on October 1. I am really excited, and kind of nervous about it. We are all doing pretty good here. Wes is just getting back on shift, after being froze on for 6-----12-hour days. It gets kinda hard for him pounding the pavement and hardly having time to take a break. But, being back on shift is nice. Hope to see you all soon! And hope you can make it! Love to all!

Lets say maybe from when she was in high school or beyond that you have or could help Mom locate, please place it on the blog or better yet e-mail it to me so I can put it on our profile. Yes, you can help, and in the process get your photo published on a nation wide web site for all to see. Vacation @ Tyson and Carries

We had the best time at Tyson and Carrie's. Carrie drove us to the most beautiful beach in California, Malibu. We played in the sand and the water. Zachary and Shanna started the water fun and I joined in with the boogie board. It takes some practice but wow is it fun. We got to see the life guards patrolling the beach and also to see what a rip tide looks like. They would call out on the PA to get out of the water when it got real bad. Tyson and Carries house is in one of the coolest places I have ever seen, Oak trees, big ones like I have never seen. The house is kind of hidden down off the road, with all kinds of foliage adorning the front grounds and large pine trees to side of the driveway and a really big Oak just in front of the house. It smelled like we stepped into the forest when we first got there. Carrie is a fantastic cook and homemaker, We ate well and had a lot of fun with Carrie and the boy's. Tyson had the opportunity to get some overtime on our last day so we didn't get to see him much our last day. Tru didn't have enough time to warm up to Me, but Shanna got to where she could hold him and Zachary was having a blast playing with him. I think Zach is going to love being a big brother some day.

Greetings from mom!

Dad and I got home from Salt Lake on Thursday evening. While we were there we went to the Joseph Smith film at the JS Memorial Building. It was very touching and helps us to realize all the trials that Prophet Joseph Smith went thru and also the trials of the early saints. I have to ask myself if I could have been strong enough to survive the ordeals that they went thru and I come up short I'm afraid. They were definitely strong and committed. Dad and I went to the temple on Thursday morning and were asked to be the witness couple! What a privelage that was and what a delight to attend a live session! It has been a number of years since we have been to one. It was wonderful! While we were in SL we stayed at the Grand America Hotel. What a grand place that is! I have never in my lifetime stayed in such a nice place! They turned our bed down everynight and laid out robes on our beds and also put chocolate on our beds every night! The bathroom had a separate dressing area. The fixtures in the bathroom were all gold and the shower was glass. They had bubble bath and when I used it the bath water came out fast and beat those bubbles into huge frothy mountains of bubbles. It was awesome!! After we got home Thursday evening grandpa mowed his lawns, then went to work on Friday and after he got off work we went to Pocatello to help Jer and Robyn move to Morgan. We got home late Sat. night and went to bed and died. Dad slept until 10:30 then we went to Sacrament meeting, came home and took a nap! We must be getting old! We talked to Josh on Sun. and he is doing great. He has a wonderful, upbeat attitude and is looking forward to fast-roping next week. That is where they come out of the helicopters down a rope to land in a place. He said there are a few broken ankles when they do this drill. Remember him in your prayers---he doesn't need anything broken! The heat there has been awful but he has done okay. I didn't mention that Jer and Robyn's new home is lovely and Morgan is a nice little town--hope you can go visit! Now they need to sell their home in Chubbuck!!!! We are doing good!! Our garden is delicious! Love you! MOM

Hiking

Ryan and I went to Lake Independence yesterday with the 11yo scouts. We stayed at the campground at the bottom then hiked up this morning. But last night we watched the meteor shower for a while. It was pretty cool. The lakes were beautiful, but it was a lot of work to get to them. It was about 3 miles to the first lake and about 1/2 mile to the next two. We were worn out so we didn't go up to the forth. Ryan and the other boy caught lots of frogs and polliwogs at the third lake. I think that they had fun. But I don't think that we will be doing that again for a while. I may not even be able to walk for a while. Did I mention that it is really steep. Well we had fun. Wes

Winchester Bay

Hey everybody! We are here on the Oregon Coast, probably Callin's happiest place to be! The house we are staying in is a block from the Umpqua River which takes us through the bar (basically where the river feeds into the ocean and it has rocks along both edges of the river called the jetty.) The coast guard reports are one of my favorite parts, they say "Securitae, Securitae, Securitae" at the start of their bar reports. Just like it looks. It makes me laugh. We went fishing on Saturday, our first morning here, and poor Darby got so sick! Jakoby doesn't even care about the rocking of the boat, as long as she gets fed. The water was pretty rough, and it was raining, but it was so much fun! The big joke was that I caught all of the big fish because I knocked everyone over getting to the poles! We caught our limit which is 8 fish. With Salmon, that is a lot of fish! On Sunday the ward we went to was so old, I mean, mature. The speaker in Sacrament talked about forks in the road and how you don't want to end up in Idaho. She had no idea and we laughed a lot. The next time we went fishing was on Monday. The water was really calm, and made me sick! It was still fun, but the best part was the 50 pound, 5 foot long (yep we measured!) SHARK we caught. Well Dave fought with it for an hour. It took a while to convince the shark that he was caught. Dave didn't know he had a shark, otherwise he would have cut it loose and lost the gear. But we got it in the boat, he was hooked in the fin, or he would have bit through the fishing line. He was really big and really creepy. We set him free and he swam off, but we had to "stun" him to get the hooks out, so we might have made him a dorkfish and gave him a hole in his dorsal fin. We caught our limit again on Monday. But we weren't able to go out because of the weather until today, Thursday. The water was rough again and we had Darby doped up, so she did fine. I caught a 28 inch 11 pound Chinook Salmon. It was fun because the Chinook will come up to the surface of the water, see the boat, and then they dive straight down. It was a bit of a fight, but it was really fun. We get up at 5 in the morning, so we are ready for naps at 2! It has been a really fun trip and I have learned a lot! Darby doesn't like to look at the fish, she doesn't like the smell of the fish, but she can't wait to eat the fish! I look forward to seeing everyone again soon. Love you! The Mays

Hehe enjoy an add this laugh to ur day

Monday, July 9, 2007

Hi Everybody! I had a few minutes so I sat down and started reading the blog and laughing and forgot I was cooking lasagna noodles so they are over-cooked, again! I always do that to lasagna noodles but I have to tell you what a great time I was having reading everyone's snippets of info! This is great! We should write a book. I am so glad that Carrie sends us pictures of home, church, turtles, etc. to see what things are like there for them. I am glad they are loving it there! I laughed to see how Trent says birthday! Megan is really a good, responsible driver. That doesn't surprise me but it sure makes me proud of her. Her family all slept or read while she drove home from Rigby. Now I would say they all had confidence in Megan's driving ability or they would have been giving her directions. And it is so fun to watch Madison learning Mikala's cheers! Of course, Mikala does them so good that it is fun to watch her and see her enjoying it. The weather isn't as hot this week but when the mosquitos are out I don't spend much time outside. Dad does a pretty good job spraying them and keeping them under control but they have been bad the last few days. The 4th was hot! We went to the parade to see Zach, Shanna, and Mikala in the parade. I got a sun burn on my toes. Aunt Nila is here for a couple of weeks. I am having them over for supper tonight (I will have to serve over-cooked noodles in the lasagna). Tomorrow night is scouts so couldn't do it then or the rest of the week. Megan and Mikala are going on the hand-cart trek next week, I don't know if they know there is a big ole wild fire raging up by there right now. They were told there would be lots of blowing sand, I would also add blowing black cinders to that now! I love the pictures everyone puts on the blog! I would add ours to that but I don't have anything new or interesting to add right now! Oh well! Love, Grandma

Trent's Ninja Turtle...

Last week Trent came running into me yelling with excitement, yet a little scared, that there was a Ninja Turtle at our house! I laughed and said " that's neat Bud." He kept telling me to come and see. I realized then that he was completely serious and the thought occurred to me that I wasp going have to break the news to him that they are fake. He kept saying it with a rush in his voice so I decided to calmly tell him that they were fake. Thinking that he would pause and react to this I had prepared myself for a melt down, but no way he continued to be persistent about this Ninja Turtle outside. As I stopped to think and listened to the surrounding sounds for one second I realized that Trey to was outside screaming about this Ninja Turtle. With Trent's persistence and Trey screaming to I thought to myself that just maybe there was one....So I decided to go along with it and head outside. This is what we found! It doesn't look very big but he was! I have never seen a turtle this big just out roaming around in our yard, never mind the this big part, I have never seen a turtle out roaming around in our yard period! Trey and Trent watched it for most of the day as it roamed our front yard. They came in for a little and it was gone when they went back out. But they still talk about it, especially Trent. Right before quiet times that day he told me "mom if you look out the window and see my Ninja Turtle make sure to come and get me"! He has picked to have a Ninja Turtle party for his Dirpday. (that is how he says birthday)

Close to the beach

We are really liking where we live. We are about 15-20 miles from the beach, so if anyone wants to see the ocean this is the time. The weather here is perfect. Not to hot yet not cold. The boys love going to the beach. Last time we were there someone gave them new beach toys. They were really excited!

Our Church Building

We thought we would post our church building since it is not your typical one. It is really big. It has two chapel, three cultural halls, and double of all the class rooms. It is fairly new and has dark wood in the inside. The parking is set up in stairs. Anyways it is pretty impressive. They thought they would need this big but right now they only have four wards in it. I tried posting this once so if it comes up double ~sorry~. Hopefully it will work this time.
This is parking lot #1. Then it goes up from here.-

HI, my name is Jeramy, and I am a drug dude, I - Just kidding - This is Stephanie - Jer says he can't get here to blog - I'm just trying to help out TOO-TOO MUCH as usual! Hi to all, went to a family reunion on Wes's side slept out in a tent, got dirty and hairy cause we took Ebony. Spent WAY too much time in the outdoors without running water! and way too much time with Hairy Ebony! in confined quarters. Going to bed now! Miss you all! Steph

Our Home

We are all moved and loving where we live. Here is a picture of our $925,000 home. Can you believe it. It is a two bedroom, three with a partition just like the church, 1950,s home. Really small but we love it.

This picture is our driveway. It is really pretty here. We are surrounded by trees. It seems like we have a squirrel farm going on. The boys keep telling Tys "Dad let's just shoot them". They don't understand what could happen if Tys starts hunting in the front yard in California. I will try and see if this is going to work then I will post some more pictures. Let's cross our fingers!! Here we go....

Finally

I'm sorry it took me so long to post.I had to change my password to post, but I just wanted to post to say hi.

Tuesday, June 5, 2007

Hey! What is up with this weather? I'm probably gonna have to wear a coat if this keeps up! I thought summer was here. Dad and I had scouts tonight. We won't have it again until the end of the month now. We have been asked to have it twice a month during the summer. We enjoy the scouts but it was kinda rough on dad tonight because one of the boys had problems in the bathroom. Dad had him go in and clean up the bathroom. Dad was a bit disgusted. I didn't ask for details cause I didn't really want to know! Shanna and I went to Saige and Sakoya's dance recital last night. I'm telling you----no wonder I'm not in good shape----I'm not doing all that booty bouncing! I told Shanna I could probably buy a new house with the money that was spent on the costumes there! Remember and put July 15th on your calendars for Grandma Draper's birthday celebration with the family! I will send more on that later. Hey! When are we going on vacation? Let me know and then get it planned! Okay? Okay! Love you all! I love to read the blog and see pictures, too. The ones of Darby and Jakoby that Kristen and Callin posted are fun! I haven't learned to post pictures yet but I am doing good at getting this published because I sat down to create a blog one day last week and I couldn't figure it out and didn't have the patience to keep trying so I gave up. But I am going to get this figured out one of these days! LOVE MOM

Finally!!!!!!!!!

Well finally my four months for my drivers permit were up like last monday!!! So then getting my license didnt bug me too much but my parents seemed like they wanted me to have my license more than i wanted it so they made me set up an apointment for my driving test. An it turnd out that i got an apointment later that day at 6 an so my parents took me to get me insured to drive. But i couldnt find my permit so i went home an Mikala found it for me. Then i went to drive an i passed!!! Wow i know!!! haha!! But finally yesterday i went to take my written test an i passed but i didnt have this birth certificate from Boise so now i have to wait till like next week to go get my license!! An that really sucks!!!!! But o well at least i passed so that i can get my license so WATCH OUT!!!!!!!!! hahahahahhahahahaha!!! Well i luv ya'll c ya soon haha byby, MEGAN

Our Kids

Darby loved her dance class. These were at recital. Her group danced to "Put the lime in the cocnut" and "Beachparty." She was crazy, and so much fun to watch! This is Jakoby trying cereal for the first time, and she loves it. Things are going well. Some of you know, but we have found a house out in the Emerson area, and will be moving in either late July or August. The people that live there are waiting for a work transfer. Our closest neighbors will be at least half a mile away, so we will finally have the peace and quiet Callin has been waiting for. I am also quitting my job, so I can take care of our family full time. It will be a really good change, and one I am really looking forward to. Take care and love to all! The Mays
