Camping

Yeah, our leave got approved so we are leaving Friday morning to come out there. We are driving so we probably won't be there until Sunday afternoon. I am sooooooo excited! My friend got us a tent, sleeping bag, and air mattress for our wedding gift and we can't wait to use them. I think I am way more excited than Josh cuz I am almost packed and he hasn't even started. I have all our camping gear laid out in the living room ready to be put in the car. Keep us in your prayers that we may have a safe trip. See you all soon! Natalie

Saga of Wes & Steph's fam!

We might be a wee bit late, but here is Mikala in the 4th of July parade! It wasn't as hot this year, but we got to "enjoy" the crowds! Loved that! But you could tell Mikala was having a lot of fun! Here is Madison our 'little person'! We do not like to refer to her as a dwarf! Actually we had a problem with a fountain/artesian coming out of our crabapple tree - it really was kinda cool! But, we decided we needed to get it fixed - so we had a little fun doing our work. And of course Maddy knows how to ham it up for the camera. You all know how short and squatty I am, but this kind of gives you a small idea of how much of Maddy we chopped off. We always threatened to do that to Megan - cut her off at the knees - well this time, we're gittin'r'done! Okay - onto the next adventure. . .this last weekend was our trial run for those of us going up early for our camping trip. We went up to Nat Soo Pah, set up our tent whilst Wes and Mikala WATCHED! The kids got 'tired'! LOL! Ha ha! Wes and Mikala have cheer camp on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday - so they plan on coming up Tuesday night after 'they' get finished for the day. Needless to say Megan, Ryan and I were able to set up camp; and we didn't do too bad of a job, either. But we did make a list of things we had forgotten for the Nat Soo Pah trip, but PLAN on taking to Alturas. We had a lot of fun and took a few pictures too! Then just us girls got 'tired'! We had tons of fun and are really excited for this next week at Alturas. See y'all soon!

Camping

I am so exited for camping and hope everybody is coming. Luv ya.

Thank You all so much for all your prayers! This has been the toughest thing my family has ever been through. We are home now and trying to get every thing done so we can come out there. I am so excited!!!! Here are some pictures from our trip to WV. We tried to have fun despite the circumstances. We spent a lot of time in the pool!

Hi Family! We went with Josh and Natalie to the beach today! It is two hours from here so we have spent a great deal of time in the car today. However, we all spent enough time on the beach that some of the bodies here are sporting quite a reddish glow! As for myself, I donned some 45 sunblock, borrowed Shanna's hat and sat in a chair trying not to soak up any sun! You would have all loved this beach we were at today. The sand was so fine and there was no sea weed on the beach at all. (When we were at the beach in CA wit1h Tyson and Carrie, I had to pick up a piece of sea weed to see what it felt like and I couldn't get the sticky stuff off of my fingers. It was like a bugger with gelatin in it.) Also, you may have heard of Hurricane Bertha that was in the Atlantic---well, it was down-graded to a tropical storm but the waves were quite large because of the disturbance created by Bertha. So these big waves would come crashing in and Josh and a couple of his friends would go out and try to catch a wave to ride back in, but the riptide was so strong that it would also pull them down south of where we were quite a ways. They were having a great time and I am sure that it looked like a lot of fun to grandpa so out he went two give it a try. Ggrandpa wasn't quite ready for all that rolling and pulling action going on and he couldn't get his feet under him! When he got back in I asked him if saw "the light". He said "no, I saw the gates of hell!" Needless to say, grandpa didn't go bac1k in! Yesterday we went to Josh's graduation. (Duh, of course we did! After all, that's the reason we came to NC!) It was great! He is officially a Green Beret! He took us around the base a little to show us where he did some of his training. It was hard to see much because there was a big drenching rain storm about then that poured down so hard it was difficult to see much! Josh had to go in this one building to sign some papers and when he got back to the car he was soaked. It was nice to see some of the places where he had spent a great deal of his time. Before the graduation ceremony, we had to stand in line outside because they weren't going to open the doors until 30 minutes before. It was so hot! I thought I was going to melt! The heat here is definitely different than in Idaho. Josh and Natalie have been wonderful hosts. Early on Thursday morning, Natalie got a call from home that her father was in the hospital with a brain bleed and on a ventilator. The past few days have been very difficult for her because there is no hope for her dad's recovery. Her mother has made the decision to turn off the machines keeping him alive. Natalie and Josh will leave in the morning to go to West Virginia. They will turn off the machines after Josh and Natalie get there. We will leave about 7:30 in the morning. It takes an hour and a half to drive to Raleigh from here and we have Bpnnie programed to get us there. Our flight leaves at 10:40. We have one lay over and that is in Cinncinnati. We get into SL at 2:40, go get our car and head home.. See ya'all later!

Hey everybody! Last week I got a call from CeLes, she asked me if I could help out with her other classes. So I went to my class and stayed for the two other ones. First of all in my class we are a backhandspring class, so we work mainly on those with a few other skills. We have competitions to see who can do the most in a row. We had to do standing ones and the first day I did 9 in a row! I have only ever done two in a row!!! I was AMAZED! And way dizzy, I had to hold on to the wall to keep from falling. haha! The SECOND day I did twelve in a row but I came to the end of the mat so I had to stop. hehe. Bet you can guess how dizzy I was then! then the third day we did roundoff backhandsprings, but I did these without a spot and I only got 7 but thats still good lol. I can also do skills such as brannies, front punches, back whips, backhandsprings, and I just learned back tucks. I can also do all the basic stuff too of course =). The other two classes were pretty fun, most of the time. I heard a lot of "I can do this by myself", and "dont help me this time!" haha but over all it was a good experience. I learned patience(hehe) and all that. :) I guess I did an ok job because she asked me if I could keep helping!!! Cheer is also going very good. We are trying all sorts of stunts and we've learned the fight song! We condition every day and it keeps getting harder but it feels good! Well now your all updated on the important stuff lol ! Love you ALL! Mikala Lindsay

Believe it or not I am going to attempt to write on the blog spot. Enjoyed the work outfit from Josh. Natalie, welcome to the world of being a Jones. We are doing well and as soon as I figure it out I will attempt to add pictures. Congratulations to Josh on the Graduation this weekend.

Hey All, I just wanted to post some pics of Josh doing what he loves to do, not to mention his sexy outfit! He calls this his work outfit. He wears it every time he cuts the grass, works on his car, or does anything around the house! Our neighbors love it and they get to see it every day cause this is all we do. I am the white trash wife who sits in her rainbow lawnchair and watches her husband work on his car! lololol
