I cannot believe how close it is getting!! It is almost time and I'm getting nervous and stuff lol. Anywho I have tickets!! You buy just one ticket and it gets you in for both nights (yes it is a two night thing) which is going to be a little nerve racking. The 15th is the preliminary the 16th is the finals, both nights its starts at 7:00 p.m. at the King Fine Arts Center. The tickets cost 12 dollars. Candace expects this to sell out but if there are any available they will be 15 dollars at the door. Let me know who wants any so I can get more if needs be. And if you have any questions call me or text me or whatever. Well love you guys!!

Derringer, All Boy and Trying his Mom's Patience
Sometimes I feel as a mom I am not doing so hot and I definitely feel that way in raising my first boy. I had trying times with the older girls but raising Derringer is a whole new experience for me. I have had people tell me that boys are way easier, they are just plain crazy or they have not met my sweet, wonderful, full of energy Derringer. I ask myself was I like this when I was little or is he busy like Jeramy was when he was little.Just a few highlights of the past couple of weeks:We went to a dance competition in Pocatello the weekend of the 15th of March. Sakoya, Saige and Denali all had to Dance. My mom and dad came up to help me with it all and they had Kestle with them because Candace and Tracy were out of town. Anyway, all seems to be going well and Kestle and Derringer, however busy were just dancing around behind where we were sitting. The competition was at the new Stephens Fine Performing Arts center and we were sitting up on a balcony. There was a long hallway back just out the doors from where we were and the two of them were playing out there. Nothing really in the hallway to hurt or anyone to disturb (or so I thought). All of the sudden the fire alarm goes off, lights flashing, loud noise the whole bit. The announcer asked that everyone please exit the building when around the corner comes Derringer and Kestle who is saying, "I didn't do it, Denger, did it." I am kind of lost until Derringer says, " I tried to put it back up, but wouldn't go." I was so stunned I didn't know what to think so as they are clearing out the building my thoughts are if I tell them he did this they can get it fixed sooner which will lead to a shorter delay in the competition. I then take him to the front and we go show someone which station was pulled in hopes it can be taken care of quickly. Oh how wrong I was. At least 45 minutes later, me talking to campus security and the taking the firemen back into the building, Derringer admitting that he "just wanted to see what it doed," and so on they finally get it fixed and I am so stressed for being the parent of the child who pulled the fire alarm the competition finally started again. Needless to say I was feeling like the bad parent. Here are some other but not quite so exciting Derringer tricks. One day I was cleaning at the Dance Shack and he found a pair of scissors in the diaper bag which he proceeded to give himself a haircut with, when I found large chunks of hair on the floor I was truly grateful that it was his hair and not Wynter's.One day while I was downstairs he found and old charged cell phone with no SIM card which he used to contact the only number that he could, yes, that would be 911, and ask the lady for his daddy which he wanted to talk with. She told him to take the phone to his mother and I was left to finish the call to the very nice 911 operator.I love the kid to death and tell him everyday but sometimes I feel that I am failing him as a parent. To say the kid is smart is and understatement. For those of you who have had or are currently raising boys please help me here. I am doing my best to keep and eye on him but I need some suggestions as how to prevent any future occurrences of the the above mentioned incidents. If I have somehow provided a good laugh for you today, you a welcome and enjoy. I truly do find humor in most of his antics after the fact and have a hard time staying mad at him too long.

Okay everyone---here's the scoop on family vacation. I thought that I could go on line and reserve camp sights at Alturas for the first week in August!! Silly me for thinking it would be that easy. I found out that pretty much all of July & Aug. are already reserved for the double campsights like we want, so I proceeded to check thru the dates left to see if I could find a double with some consecutive days that aren't reserved and I found one for the 17th thru the 20th that is a double with a single by it that is a walk-in (the ones that aren't reserved like we had last year)or a double that is available the 15th thru the 18th that has a single by it that can be reserved for these same dates. Not knowing the schedule for school starting next fall, I was hesitant to reserve these today. I need to know ASAP which, if either of these dates will work for y'all! The 17th thru the 20th is Mon. thru Thurs. and the 15th thru the 18th is Sat. thru Tues. This can make a difference as the week-ends are generally pretty busy there.

I'M the dork!
Haha! Okay, this is what I'm thinking. If everyone sends me a line wishing Megan good luck and something that says how wonderful she is - and how much she means to you - blah blah blah - stuff like that. (Hope Meg doesn't read this much!) Hopefully - I'm thinking - that after you send it to me, I will forward it to Natalie and she will put it on this kind of scrapbook page that she is designing. If anyone has anymore questions - just lemme know! I can be reached! haha. WE are paying for the page - so it doesn't cost anyone anything, but we would like good luck comments from each family! So if you all could send me something - I'll forward it to Natalie! Thank you all so much!

help!
Natalie is designing Meg's good luck page to be put in the junior miss program. I was thinking that if each family sent me something wishing Meg good luck then I can forward it to Natalie. If I have each of you send it to me then I can keep track of who has done it and who needs to do it! Then if someone doesn't send something - then I can stalk and hound you until you do. Then I will forward it to Natalie. Any questions - I can be reached many different ways.

Junior Miss . . . stuff
Okay. So Meg is doing Junior Miss, as you all know. One of the things they do for the girls is to have their parents prepare a "parent/family/good luck page" that is inserted into the official program. The page can be designed in any way we would like. The cost is $50 and all the proceeds end up going toward their scholarships. So if anyone is interested in doing this - let me know. P.S. If anyone is interested in 'donating' for this good luck page - YOU contact ME.

My talk
Okay,so on Sunday I had to give a talk about Families And Thier Responsibilities.
When President Ezra Taft Benson was a young boy, his father was called on a mission. Ezra, the oldest child in his family, had six younger brothers and a sister. He knew that his mother needed his help to make their home a cheerful and comfortable place. He woke up early each morning to milk the cows before he went to school. His younger brothers and sister laughed as he squirted milk into their mouths when they came into the barn to watch him. Ezra comforted them when they missed their father. He even dug vegetables from a storage pit under the snow so they would have enough to eat. Ezra tried in every way to make his home a happy one.
As prophet of the Church, President Benson taught us that “our Heavenly Father loves all of His children of all nations everywhere. Because He loves us so much, He has given us loving parents who care for us and teach us. Our mothers and fathers are our first and best teachers, and what they teach us can help us to grow up to be good and useful men and women”
Our Father in Heaven has given responsibilities to each person in the family. He gave parents the responsibility to teach and care for their children. As a member of a family, you also have important responsibilities. Heavenly Father has commanded us to obey our parents (see Eph. 6:1 it says' "Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right." ). He has asked us to love and serve one another. Each family member should be helpful, cheerful, and kind to other family members. When we help family members, we are showing our love for them and for Heavenly Father. You can do your part to help your parents make your home a happy place just as President Benson did.
I hope that we can all do our part in carrying out our responsibilities in our homes, and that we can help others in our home carry out their responsibilities also. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.
I hope that we can care and love our families just as Ezra did.
