Our home....

Finally, here is the front of our home.

bOO!!!!!

Our Halloween party is tomorrow night at church so I decided to get creative and make cupcakes! I have never made them before but Josh says they are really good. I think they turned out so cute. I'm so excited now that I have my kitchen and all my stuff! After I was done decorating the cupcakes I was washing dishes and sliced my thumb. It hurt so bad! Josh said I turned green! Sorry, I don't have pics of that. lololol

Pumpkin Fest!

Today we went to Ludweigsburg to a castle and the pumpkin fest. It was so much fun. I had never in my life seen pumpkins that big! It was amazing at the stuff they did with all the different size pumpkins and gourds. The theme this year as you probably figured out was outer space. They also had a table set up with different types of pumpkins for you to try. I tried a couple of them, which is huge for me cause I don't like trying new things! We also had a bowl of pumpkin soup. I didn't really want to try it but everyone at work kept telling me it was really good. They were right it was great!!!!! After the fest we went to Rapunzal's castle and she let down her hair :) It was so cute there was this little girl outside with us and she kept screaming "Rapunzal, Rapunzal" The castle gardens were amazing.

my new job!

I started my new job this week! I really enjoy it. I am a teachers aid for the special needs classroom. I am the aid of a little girl with down syndrome. She is so sweet. Her name is Sydnee and she is in the 4th grade. The thought that her education is in my hands scares the crap out of me but I'm doing okay so far. I thought when they hired me as an aid that meant I would help out in the classroom but actually Sydnee is independent enough that she can go to her actual fourth grade class and do work and not just stay in the special needs room. Obviously she can't do fourth grade work, she is on, about, a second grade level so I have to modify what her class is doing and make up work for her. Scary!!!!!!! There is only one special needs teacher and about 8 kids so she can't spend a lot of time with each of them. When Sydnee is at gym or art or music I go and help in the special needs classroom. I really enjoy it but it breaks my heart too. All the kids are so sweet but they are either autistic or mentally retarded so there really isn't any hope. Today I was helping one of the autistic little girls with her colors and she jumped and smiled really big and hugged me and gave me a kiss on my shoulder. It was so sweet. But then there are times like yesterday when one of the little girls sneezed and got snot on me and I was gagging the whole time I cleaned her and myself up!!!!! I wasn't happy about that. I have a really weak stomach and that just didn't cut it. I will make sure not to be the only teacher in the classroom from now on! Our household goods are finally here and will be delivered on Tuesday!!!!! I am so excited. Josh is leaving me again in November to come back to the states to do some training! This military wife business is lonely!!!!! I will put more pics of the house on here after our stuff gets here.

Darby's Birthday

Darby was pretty excited to be 6. She really didn't understand that things wouldn't change overnight. She thinks that turning 6 will make her loose theeth and she was so surprised that her shoes still fit! She really had a great day. This is a pic of Jakoby I took out at Minidoka Dam the other day. The weather was perfect!
Also, a little fyi our wards primary program is next Sunday, the 26th, at 10:50. Darby is singing the first verse of If the Savior Stood Beside Me as a solo, and there are some other fun solos that will be done. The singing is really great. Anyway, things are great, Callin is back in the truck hauling beets after the freak snow storm we had, needless to say the fields were slightly damp from the melting.

All moved in...

We finally were able to move back to Thousand Oaks last Saturday. As of Thursday we are all moved in. I took a picture of the front of our home but it was to dark so I will post one later. Here is our back yard. It is about a 1/2 acre, which is big for here. Our boys are loving it. It came with a soccer goal and a trampoline. I should mention that Bell and Mia are loving it to. It is a big change from our small La Verne yard. This is the back of our home Here is the sky during the day when all the fires were burning around us. A little smoky at times and some over time for Tys is the only affect it had on us. Trey and Trent are back into the school that Trey went to last time we lived here. They are loving it. Which is nice because they did not like going to school at their last one. It is really nice to be back to some where that we love. We have even been talking that we could settle down here but we will wait and see if that happens, you just never know. It is getting harder to move. This was the first time that we didn't fit all of our stuff in the biggest U-haul truck you can get. We had to go back and rent a trailer, and that was still a tight fit. Tys says he is done moving....yeah right.

Here is a picture I took of the kids a couple of weeks ago, it has only taken Jeramy and I about 1/2 hour to figure out how to get this to post due to the fact that the new computer will not accept images from my camera so I had to load them on the old computer then transfer them to the new one, then find them in the memory and browse fovever to get it to load on here. Okay, enough on my inability to load pictures. I played with the image a bit but I think it turned out pretty good even if I say so myself. Things here are good and the kids are all doing well. Miss you all.

Thanking God!

Today I went to my first FRG meeting. For those of you who don't know FRG is family readiness group. Basically a support group for military wives. Anyway four of the six wives in our company said goodbye to their husbands today. I know that marring a military man, means he is gone a lot, but I'm just so thankful that Josh's team isn't leaving right now. I'm sure he is going to kill me when he reads this cause he is anxious to get over there and serve his country but I am really thanking God tonight. It was a good meeting and the girls are nice but it's hard to ignore the red puffy eyes from crying. I felt like crap cause yesterday I was whining to myself cause I'm alone for a week! lolol I'm officially in the apartment. It is still empty just me, the suitcases, and an air mattress! We are getting temp furniture on Thursday so that will be nice. I went to the lending closet today and got the welcome package with pots and pans, plates, glasses, forks, etc.... so I am going to the store tomorrow and I will be cooking my first meal tomorrow!!!! yes I will be eating it on the floor but at least it will be something I want!!!!! I can't complain to bad though cause now that we know a little German, well enough to get by in a restaurant, we can go to real restaurants and get good food, not just subway!!!!! :)

I GOT THEM LAST NIGHT IN TWIN AT ZUMIEZ THEY ARE SSSSWWWWEEEEEETTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We survived!

Today was our first day as teachers in CTR 5. Josh was on staff duty for 24 hrs yesterday so I had to prepare the lesson by myself! I was nervous at first trying to remember everything I wanted to say but soon after I got started I realized that they really aren't listening anyway. lololol We had 6 in class today and they were all really good. Our lesson was on talents and we kept asking them what talents they had and had them draw pictures of them doing their talents. At the end of class I asked them what they were going to tell their parents they leared in primary today and one of the little girls looked up at me and said "Nothing" lolololol I had to laugh to myself. This is going to be so challenging for me. Then there is this little girl who wants to hug me all the time and I'm not a huggy person with just anyone! So I have to learn to have patients!!!! lolol I don't remember if I posted on here that I applied for a job at one of the grade schools on post. Well, today before primary the lady found me and told me I got it!! yay! I go in on Tues and fill out the paper work then I start Fri. I'm so excited to work. I'm starting to go crazy over here not doing anything while Josh is at work all day. I told him I was glad that I was going to be making money so I could buy all kinds of candles to put around our new tub. He told me I had to wait until I got my first pay check cause I couldn't reimburse him! lololol

the mighty hunter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, my dad did it again. He shot a deer. He said it stood and looked at him too long. It is a nice 2x3 buck. It is really fat and pretty heavy. It took dad and myself to drag him across the fence to gut him out. Uncle Ron brought the pickup over and hauled it back to the ranch. It snowed here an inch or so yesterday. It snowed in the mountains we were hunting in. It was miserable. We did not see a stinking thing. We came back and drove around the ranch and saw more deer than we had seen. Jeramy

Thought you might like to see what is happening here! They say this beats the record of snow in Oct. by 2 days. Your car is probably in shock, Josh. But, as you can see, Becky has two blankets on her!! It is still snowing! Dad is in Challis deer hunting. The weather man said this storm goes from Glenns Ferry to Pocatello so maybe dad won't be hunting in the snow. Kristen went and bought a blanket at DI for Oz because he was shivering yesterday morning and she felt bad for him. It went from warm fall weather for 3 days to instant winter. I'm thinking about going south with the birds for the winter!!
